This is a polish traditional Wedding piece. It was handmade by my grandmother (don't worry, she is asking me to resell for her!!). It is a white silky material, with some lace & tulle edging, and has the fertility babies sewn in.
It needs some pressing as it's been kept away for a while, but in amazing condition.
It is 100% white, I am sorry for how the camera is picking up some red tones.
The tradition is that the bride will have this put on you by the maid of honor or mother, to signify the transition from maidenhood to married woman. The bride will do a dance with this apron and have money thrown/pinned to her apron, and the babies signify good fertility.
The belt is about 55"
Apron is 17" at widest section and 14" high
Perfect for an old-school Polak bride :)
